Meals are being offered when purchased at time of registration. Lunches are $5.00 each; dinners are $6.00 each. No Saturday dinner is available for purchase.

Judge Responsibilities

Judges should arrive at check-in 45 minutes before the beginning of the round. Judge Orientation/Training will be provided before each round. Judges must be registered in Judge Registration as well as on the Student Registration on this web site.

Team Policy Debater: Must register a judge or judges for a minimum of two (2) rounds.
Lincoln-Douglas Debater: Must register a judge or judges for a minimum of three (3) rounds.
IE (Speech) competitors: Must register a judge or judges for one (1) round per event entered.

Exception: For families who live further than 50 miles from the tournament site, one parent who is available full-time may cover the requirement for their own children, regardless of the number of events. Please note that if you choose to take advantage of this exception, "available full-time" means that you agree to be standing at the ballot table, willing to take ballots each time that they come out (debate or speech) throughout the tournament.

Consistent with Region 3 policy, if a competitor provides an adult for a full-time staff position for all 3 days of the tournament, that student's judging requirement is waived.

For questions regarding judge registration contact Julia Patterson at julia_patterson@comcast.net (Note: it's hard to see when it's linkable, but there is an underscore between 'julia' and 'patterson.')

Judge Registration Deadline:
After January 4th, please contact Julia Patterson at 801-495-0826 instead of using e-mail. She'll still be happy to hear from community judges but please call before writing.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the 3 students who recruit the most community judges.
1st place $75, 2nd place $40 and 3rd place $30.

Time Keeper Volunteers

Competitors are asked to provide a volunteer who will participate as a time keeper. Time keeper training/orientation will be provided.

Housing

To request host housing, please visit our Host Housing Request Form page and contact Amanda Smith at markamanda_1@hotmail.com by December 5th. (Note: it's hard to see when it's linkable, but there is an underscore between 'amanda' and '1.')

Chaperones

All competitors are required to be chaperoned. If a parent will not be on site a signed medical release form must be provided for the chaperone. All chaperones need to be willing to judge and/or time. Sorry, no un-chaperoned competitors allowed.

All refund requests must be submitted by e-mail to Lucy Brose at wyopainter@yahoo.com. Requests must be received by December 5th to be eligible for a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be given for specific events dropped after the close of registration. If a student is unable to attend the tournament at all, a 75% refund will be given if requested before December 28th.
